About the CHHF and Team Hutton

As many of you may know, in July 2012 our youngest son/brother Charlie Hutton, aged 14, died in a tragic boating accident. The RNLI were absolutely amazing in their efforts and as a family we wanted to show our appreciation for the incredible work they do. Having raised over £15,000 by the end of 2013, we decided to continue raising money in Charlie’s name for this great charity and aimed to raise £20,000 by the end of 2014. We surpassed this with other fundraisers like Sam’s Challenge-Charlie mega 97 days of running. By the end of 2014 the total stood at over £27,000 including gift aid.  As well as continuing with the Charlie Hutton Hockey Festival, and Challenge-Charlie, Tom and Sam undertook a number of challenges which you can find out more about on their ‘Team Hutton’ blog .

We hope you will join us in continuing to celebrate Charlie’s life, and even joining the boys on some of their challenges. Please spread the word and help us raise even more money and awareness of the RNLI  as an extremely worthy cause.

Some of you may also know Sam produced a charity single that he based on the song he wrote and played at Charlie’s memorial service. It’s available to buy through itunes here with all profits going to the RNLI.

The original giving page with donors messages is now closed for donations but we have created a new permanent site for future donations that can remain open as an enduring legacy to Charlie and the skill, passion and fun he brought into all our lives. You can donate to the RNLI on the new Team Hutton page here:  http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/SomeoneSpecial/teamhutton

Thanks again for all your support
